PRODUCT DESRIPTION |
PRIMARY USES |
L&L 300 Mastic is a high-build, waterborne, elastomeric barrier coating. Its unique blend of premium acrylic resins and pigments combine to form a durable, mildew-resistant film with exceptional adhesion and flexibility. L&L 300 is a breathing mastic which allows damaging substrate moisture to escape, while protecting against ultra-violet, water and air-flow intrusion. |
4 Architectural restoration. |
4 Seals and fills interior and exterior masonry, stucco, concrete and previously painted surfaces |
4 Above-grade waterproofing and damp-proofing. |
4 Air-flow management (e.g. in nuclear power facilities) |
FEATURES 4 VOC compliant.4 Fast Drying.4 Single Component4 Contains no lead, mercury, or asbestos |
4 Plywood and particle board primer/sealer. |
4 Seals dry wall and sheet rock |
4 Primes and upgrades amny friable thermal insulation materials. |
4 Fumigation containment in tobacco storage warehouses. |
4 Dust control: Seals joints and seams on conveyors, dust collectors, elevators and other material-handling equipment |
4 Provides exceptional adhesion and flexibility when applied to: Primed ferrous and non-ferrous metal, galvanized steel, masonry, wood, fiberglass, transite and most construction, insulation and roofing materials. |
WHY USE L&L PRIMER/SEALER? 4 Promotes adhesion on hard-to-stick-to materials.4 Seals porous surfaces, requiring less finish coatings.4 Easy to apply and cleans up with soap and water.4 Reinforceable with L&L Polyester mat, Polyester mesh and Dynel cloth.4 It's Elastomeric: Capable of stretching in excess of 12 times its original size and then returning. |

VISCOSITY L&L 163 Primer/Sealer is manufactured in two viscosities: 4 "Light" brush, roller & airless spray grade4 "Standard" brush, roller & airless spray gradeWhen choosing viscosity range, consider factors such as surface profile and porosity, required film thickness and application methods. |
RECOMMENDED SUBSTRATE CONDITIONS All surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free of dirt, oil, grease, mildew, rust, wax, chalking or peeling coating and any foreign matter which could prevent proper adhesion. Never apply to surfaces which pond water. APPLICATION Contact your L&L Coatings Representative for specific application information and technical assistance. |

AIRLESS SPRAY PUMP: Graco Bulldog 3:1 No. 221-061 fed by Graco Monarch 5:1 transfer pump No. 206-393 FLUID HOSE: 3/8" or ½" ID with ¼" ID whip-end section |
HANDLING AND STORAGE L&L 163 Primer/Sealer requires no mixing or thinning. Cleans up with soap and water when wet. Xylene required to remove dried material. Protect from freezing. Never apply at temperatures below +40°F. or when freezing temperatures are likely to occur before Primer/Sealer cures. Discontinue application three hours before sunset. Do not apply when rain is likely to occur. Shelf-life: 18 months when stored indoors at +40°F. to +100°F. Keep container sealed when not in use.
